Dawson Lind.

Customer-facing software engineer, four years deep in shipping technical solutions end-to-end — discovery, prototype, production, adoption. Currently obsessed with how AI is changing the way founders go from idea to live product.

About

I work where engineering meets the customer. The fun part of the job is being in the room when a problem is still fuzzy, and leaving with something running in production a few weeks later.

I've led teams shipping enterprise AI products to thousands of users, replaced six-figure SaaS contracts with focused internal tools, and kept showing up to volunteer projects long after the official deadline. The thread through all of it: get to a working thing fast, and stay close to the people using it.

Selected work

  1. 01

    Company-wide AI Chatbot

    Internal

Led a 3-engineer team to ship a RAG chatbot on Azure OpenAI with role-based document permissions, serving ~2,500 employees across 30+ subsidiaries.

    Shipped in under 1 month.

  2. 02

    Internal PII Management System

    Internal

Convinced a resistant HR head and C-suite to replace a third-party tool, then built it from scratch. MVP in 2 weeks, production in 5.

Saved $80K+/year. Cut processing time from 1 week to under 10 minutes per request.

  3. 03

    Enterprise Integration Dashboard

    Internal

Mapped 50+ internal platforms with dynamic state tracking, giving the C-suite a live view of the full tech budget for the first time.

Drove hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost savings.

  4. 04

    Youth Education Charity Platform

    Volunteer

Volunteer-built site for a charity golf tournament: payment portal, real-time fundraising dashboard, automated cold outreach to local sponsors.

    Year 1: $60K → $130K. Year 2: $225K, funding a new scholarship program.

  5. 05

AI Co-Work for Family & Friends

    Personal

Personal Claude workflows for my dad's construction business (materials + finance reporting), my grandfather's lecture & book practice, and a friend's real estate workflow.

My 70+ year old grandpa now runs his own AI-powered morning briefings.
